The fact is that many new treatments for diseases such as cancer, hepatitis, heart disease, and osteoporosis have arisen from research aimed at preventing, diagnosing, and treating HIV/AIDS. This research has also provided insights into new ways of treating autoimmune diseases and severe vision loss.
