Bradley Jensen joined amfAR’s staff as chief financial officer in September
2008. Mr. Jensen came to amfAR from the Global Alliance for TB Drug Development
(TB Alliance), bringing with him 25 years experience in the global financial
arena.
While at the TB Alliance, Mr. Jensen served as director of finance and
administration, and had overall accountability for the organization’s global
financial, information technology, human resources, and administrative
functions. Mr. Jensen’s responsibilities included helping to guide the strategic
direction of the organization, financial accounting and reporting, budgeting,
investment management, management of agreements with contract research
organizations, human resources management, and development of operations in
Belgium and South Africa.
Mr. Jensen also designed and implemented an internal financial reporting
system, installed accounting software and adapted it to organizational needs,
and set up a five-year operating plan to secure a $104 million grant from the
Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
In addition, Mr. Jensen served as controller and then chief financial officer
at Project Renewal, where he designed and installed MIP accounting software for
a $30 million multiple company organization. He was also director of finance and
administration for the National Hemophilia Foundation, assistant controller of
Delta Resources, and senior accountant for the Continental Insurance Companies.
Mr. Jensen graduated from St. John’s University.
