David BohnettDavid Bohnett is a major figure in the technology and information services industry and the founder of GeoCities, an Internet-based media and e-commerce company. Mr. Bohnett, who pioneered the concept of providing free home pages to web users, has been recognized as one of Time Digital’s Top 50 Cyber Elite, Upside magazine’s Elite 100, and Newsweek’s 100 People to Watch in the Next Millennium. He was also named Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year for Southern California.

For the past 25 years Mr. Bohnett has been a passionate advocate for advancements in HIV research and treatment as well as a leader in the fight for lesbian and gay equality. He has held various board positions and has been a long-time supporter of many local and national LGBT and AIDS service organizations, including the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center, AIDS Project Los Angeles, amfAR, GLAAD, and the Victory Fund.

Mr. Bohnett's current activities include serving as the chair of the David Bohnett Foundation. The Foundation is a nonprofit grant-making organization focused on improving society through social activism, including support for national and local organizations that serve the needs of the LGBT community. He also manages a portfolio of investments through his investment company, Baroda Ventures, and sits on the boards of several civic, philanthropic, and privately held ventures. In addition, he has lectured at the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California and was named a Regent's Lecturer at the University of California in Los Angeles. He and his significant other reside in Los Angeles.
