Kyle Clifford joined amfAR with
more than 20 years’ experience across both the private and non-profit sector in
senior new business development, fundraising, and strategic donor development
roles. As Chief Development Officer at amfAR, Kyle oversees the Foundation’s overall
fundraising program, which includes all individual and institutional giving as
well as corporate sponsorship, direct mail, e-philanthropy, workplace giving, prospect
research and cultivation, and a robust special events program that raises tens
of millions of dollars annually through benefit events in the U.S. and internationally.
Before beginning his tenure
with amfAR, Kyle served as Vice President of Development on the leadership team
at The Ireland Funds, a global philanthropic network that has raised over $650
million to benefit more than 3,200 deserving organizations in Ireland and
beyond. At the Fund, Kyle was responsible for successfully developing and
growing events, major gifts (unrestricted/donor advised), corporate, and
foundation fundraising revenue.
Prior to The Ireland Funds, Kyle’s
roles included Director of Corporate Partnerships and Development and Senior
Manager of Food Sourcing at City Harvest. Based in New York City, City Harvest
was the world’s first food rescue organisation and helps to feed the more than
1.5 million New Yorkers who are struggling to put meals on their tables.
A graduate from The University
of Limerick Ireland with a bachelor’s degree in Business Studies and Spanish, Kyle
has also held a range of senior business development roles in Spain and
Ireland.
