Cambodia Hosts TREAT Asia Network Meeting

July 2006–With Angkor Wat as the backdrop, the 6th annual TREAT Asia Network Meeting was held this year in Siem Reap, Cambodia, 14–16 July. Representatives from TREAT Asia sites, nongovernmental and community organizations, and industry gathered to review the progress of TREAT Asia’s research, education, training, and advocacy initiatives, and to chart a course for 2007.

The Network Meeting was preceded on Thursday 13 July by workshops for participants in the TREAT Asia HIV Observational Database and the Asian Community for AIDS Treatment and Advocacy. The new HIV drug resistance surveillance and monitoring program, known as TREAT Asia Studies to Evaluate Resistance (TASER), was launched at a two-day workshop immediately following the Network Meeting.
