KAWS AND CATHY LEE TO BE HONORED AT amfAR’S ANNUAL HONG KONG EVENT

New York, NY, March 20, 2018—amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research, will hold its fourth annual fundraising gala in Hong Kong on March 26, 2018, at Shaw Studios. The event will honor world-renowned artist KAWS and philanthropist Cathy Lee for their dedication to the fight against HIV/AIDS.

The amfAR Gala Hong Kong will feature a cocktail reception, dinner, and live auction conducted by Simon de Pury and Shally Lin. CHUM, a unique paintingby event honoree KAWS, will be available for online bidding in partnership with Paddle 8 prior to the live auction. Grammy-winning pop sensation Kylie Minogue and Grammy Award-nominated singer and songwriter Tove Lo will be featured performers at the event. To date, the amfAR Gala Hong Kong has raised over US$11 million (HK$86 million) for amfAR’s critical AIDS research programs.

Pansy Ho, a leading supporter of the Gala since its inception in 2015 and an influential figure in the Hong Kong and international business community, will serve as Honorary Chair of this year’s event.
