KIEHL'S SINCE 1851 TEXAS RUN FOR TWO x TWO

Motorcycling Philanthropists Join Forces with Kiehl's to Raise $50,000 to help find a Cure For AIDS

NEW YORK, October 2013 - Maintaining its long-standing tradition of supporting HIV/AIDS charities, Kiehl's Since 1851, the venerable New York-based purveyor of fine quality skin and hair care, is pleased to announce the first ever Kiehl's Texas Run for TWO x TWO, a multi-city, charitable motorcycle ride from Austin to Dallas.

With the mission to heighten awareness, and raise funds, for amfAR in the Texas market, the company is embarking on the first Kiehl's Texas Run for TWO x TWO, an extension of LifeRide, this five-day charity motorcycle ride will take place October 22 -- October 26, 2013.

Inspired by Kiehl's history with motorcycles, spirit of adventure, and philanthropic heritage, the ride will consist of motorcycle enthusiasts eager to join the fight against HIV/AIDS, including Chris Salgardo, amfAR CEO, Kevin Robert Frost, and artist Conrad Leach.

The Texas Run was created to celebrate this year's TWO x TWO for AIDS and Art event, as Kiehl's President, Chris Salgardo will be honored with a Leadership Award for all that he has done to help in the fight against HIV & AIDS. Chris is the first-ever non-artist to be honored at this annual contemporary art auction which is held in the Richard Meier-designed Rachofsky House in Dallas, and benefits two organizations--the Dallas Museum of Art and amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research.

"It's such an honor to be acknowledged for my personal and professional contribution to the fight against HIV & AIDS. This award from amfAR at TWO x TWO is a monumental moment in my life," said Chris Salgardo, President, Kiehl's USA.   "I'm humbled that as a company, we not only raise funds for HIV & AIDS organizations, but we get personally involved with the cause. As a motorcycle rider, I'm delighted to lead our inaugural Texas Run and truly grateful for the generosity of each participant."

HIV/AIDS awareness has long been at the forefront of Kiehl's philanthropic efforts, and through partnerships with organizations like amfAR, as well as the Magic Johnson AIDS Foundation, and YouthAIDS, Kiehl's has proudly donated more than $2,500,000 for the cause, worldwide. Through the creation of Kiehl's LifeRide for amfAR, an annual charity motorcycle ride, Kiehl's has raised over $500,000 for the organization.
