Frost Named amfAR’s Chief Executive Officer

March 2008—Kevin Robert Frost has been appointed chief executive officer of amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research. Frost, who was previously amfAR's vice president for global initiatives, facilitated the development of TREAT Asia and served as the initiative's director until his appointment as CEO in September.

Frost has been involved extensively with the global fight against HIV/AIDS, particularly in Asia. He served as a member of the international advisory committee for the 2004 International AIDS Conference in Barcelona and was a member of the scientific committee for the 2006 International AIDS Conference in Toronto. He also participated on advisory panels for three US Food and Drug Administration hearings on AIDS-related drug treatments and has published in numerous journals including The Lancet, Journal of Clinical Epidemiology, Journal of AIDS (JAIDS), Journal of Infectious Diseases, and The AIDS Reader.
