amfAR CEO Weighs In on Need for Health Leadership in Washington

February 20, 2009—President Barack Obama has yet to fill leadership positions at several key health agencies, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the National Institutes of Health. This, coupled with former Sen. Tom Daschle’s recent withdrawal as the nominee for secretary of health and human services, has officials questioning how the new administration will fulfill its promise to make healthcare a top priority.
