Patricia Field is considered one of fashion’s greatest visionaries. An award-winning costume designer for film and television, this native New Yorker has her own clothing label and has owned her eponymous, cutting-edge Greenwich Village boutique since 1966, helping to define the urban style of New York’s glittery nightlife.

Patricia is also a dedicated AIDS advocate who has given her time and energy to DIFFA (Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS), an AIDS service organizations that help improve the lives of people living with HIV.

Patricia raised the standards for the world of television glamour when she costumed Sex in the City, the most fashionable show in television history. She is a true pioneer, inspiring women around the world with her unique style.  A costume designer for almost twenty years, Patricia’s impressive list of television projects includes the hit shows Crime Story, Wiseguy, Spin City, Hope & Faith, and Cashmere Mafia.

In 1989, she received an Emmy for her work on Disney’s television feature Mother Goose Rock and Rhyme. Her film projects have included Miami Rhapsody, The Substitute, Dear Diary, The Devil Wears Prada, the Sex and the City feature film, and Confessions of a Shopaholic. Patricia’s work on The Devil Wears Prada earned her an Academy Award nomination in 2006. Currently, she is involved in ABC’s hit Ugly Betty and NBC’s Kath & Kim.
